Hybrid Meets Luxury - the 2012 Infiniti M35h

First unveiled at the L.A. Auto show in 2010 and available at Infiniti retailers nationwide in 2011, the 2012 M35h is Infiniti's first ever hybrid sedan. The 2012 Infiniti M35h features the new Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid (single-motor, two-clutch) system. This system incorporates an innovative Hybrid Electric Power Steering system and Electric Driven Intelligent Brake system - both designed to reduce energy consumption and enhance overall driving experience. Taking things one step further, precise-high-speed motor control technology, enabled by the powerful Lithium-ion battery, allows power to be directly channeled to the 7-speed automatic transmission.

Infiniti's proven 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine and 50kw electric motor also add to the Infiniti M Hybrid's rewarding driving experience, providing a net of 360 horsepower (hp). Equally impressive are the M's torque figures delivered from the V6's 258 lb-ft of torque combined with the electric motor's instant 199 lb-ft of torque. Delivering the refined power of a V8 engine and the fuel economy of a 4-cylinder, the all new 2012 Infiniti M35h stands to break ground as the first true luxury performance "driver's" hybrid.

The rear-wheel-drive 2012 Infiniti M35h can drive at speeds just over 60 mph on electric power alone, for durations of just over one mile. Tests have shown that by using mixed driving (electric and gas), the Infiniti M35h can be driven in electric mode for 50% of the time.

As can be expected, the luxury of the 2012 Infiniti M35h transcends its performance to its comfort and aesthetics. With edgy sports styling, the M35h offers generous passenger and cargo room, as well as standard leather-appointed seating and Japanese Ash wood trim. Other key standard features include: Active Noise Control, Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, XM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System and power-sliding glass tinted moon roof.
